I wish I could get my chihuahua to ride on-bike -- it would simplify life a lot. I tried to get him used to a Timbuktu pet backpack but he absolutely refused. I guess I'll just have to drag him behind me on a piece of string.
My brother used to carry his part Bassenji (I think -- anyway, a dog weighing ~20 lb) in a big Wald basket -- she loved it. In other news: as a boy, I'd sometimes tie our family German Shepherd to the handlebar with a rope and use his love for the bitch at the Mennonite missionary school 1/2 mile away to get a 20 mph ride along the coffee plantation doubletrack. (Getting back home was harder.) Can anyone else share pet-on-bike photos?
