Over the years (but not in the last ten years) we've gotten back half a dozen Brookses that didn't fit Nittos, and it was never the Nitto, they were always off by low single-digit millimeters, and always fell into place with a little forcing at the beginning. Although I speak their language better, when it comes to QC and precision, I'd vote for a forged Japanese part over a hand-fitted British one...generally.
