Definitely not over-the-top. Big fan of the Brooks tape,eh? The price always seemed over the top compared to cloth tape, but I have no doubt it is way more comfortable. I'm building up a bike with the new 52cm Boscos, cork grips, paul thumbies.... maybe leather tape is the way to go, we'll see.
