Greater Providence, RI area. High 20s, sunny with a mild breeze. Met the Beardman (beardmanbicycles.com) and took a quick 5 mile jaunt on the Ten Mile River Greenway. Stopped midway at Dunkin' Donuts for a coffee and warmth. After parting ways with Beardman, I took a ride by Mom's to say hello and Happy New Year. She turned 88 last week.
Rode my Haro Impasse winter beater mountain bike; a shake-down ride before it gets Nokian studded tires. Beardman rode one of his own creations, a fixie with Phil hubs and Dura-Ace cranks. Snow expected tomorrow, significant accumulation is possible. I better get those studded tires installed this afternoon. Happy New Year to all!
