I have created a set of software based on the RDCOM and R Windows edition; it was built by Visual Basic. Of course, I used a few of package such as mgcv, RODBC and SVM et al. Now I want to distribute my software to public. It's free to use my software but until now I do not want to distribute the source code yet. I want to know, is it legal or illegally to distribute new software (built on the software follow GNU) without source codes. Please give me pieces of advice about it. Thank you.
