This can have a few different reasons. To be able do diagnose we need more details. Which version of RAndFriends, which version of Windows, which version of Excel? Was RExcel installed from the same account (admin account) as it then was started?
Your example code is not enough to understand what your problem ist. It is 2 lines of R code. How did you want to get the data to R? How did you run the code?
