We have a preliminary version (no documentation, just a readme file) of an OpenOffice addin for R. It can be downloaded from http://rcom.univie.ac.at/download/ROO/ROO20081013-1.zip
It has been tested with OpenOffice 3.0 rc4 on Windows, OSX and Linux. Installing on OSX is somewhat tricky at the moment, one has to fiddle with OpenOffice. Previous experience with RExcel in helpful because then you know what kind of functionality to expect. RCommander is not integrated yet.
