I just tried to reinstall Rcpp on my mac:
R> install.packages('Rcpp', type='source')
And everything actually installs fine here:
R> sessionInfo()
R version 2.13.1 Patched (2011-09-15 r57010)
Platform: x86_64-apple-darwin9.8.0/x86_64 (64-bit)

Not sure what to suggest next, actually, but I guess something is
strange on your end? What version of XCode/gcc do you have installed?
