Just to reiterate: I consider this to be your local issue as CRAN builds just
fine. Check eg
http://www.r-project.org/nosvn/R.check/r-devel-windows-ix86+x86_64/Rcpp-00check.html
which shows
checking running R code from vignettes ... OK
checking re-building of vignette outputs ... OK
checking PDF version of manual ... OK
It is the same for win-builder builds from current sources.
The error message suggests something concerning fonts which you may be able
address at your end; else you will have run builds and tests without pdf
creation.
