Are miter gears hard to align, ie shaft mounting adjustments etc? I read somewhere that they have to be backed by thrust bearings. Is that true? Also, the cheap plastic gears seem to have no key slots, set screw holes etc, whereas the very expensive metal ones do. Seems like the metal ones would be a safer bet and better for maintainability, and as long as I am spending a small fortune anyway...
