Modern tanks have very similar looking road wheels. Some WWII tanks have this kind of wheel too, such as the Cromwell. If I were to make this kind of wheel, I would probably cut off a section of PVC pipe and fill the interior with a plug cut out of wood. I would put a section of rubber pipe around the outside, assuming I could get matching diameters. I would add some details like a ring of simulated bolt heads. I would prefer to buy something that looks close. Does anyone have suggestions for a source for wheels that are the closest in looks to that kind of wheel? Some caster wheels that I've found are not bad, but not great either.
