i started drilling and tapping for 3 more (need one of them so i have a
set for the Tiger 1) motor/trany units last night, and on the second hole i
was just about to finish tapping SNAP! i was just starting to back the tap
out when it broke. i wasn't even putting any force behind it

it's not like i had it cranked tightly into the hole or anything, it just
snapped as i started to back it out. lucky for me, i had a spare and did a
few (3) more last night before i called it quits. this time when i was
threading the hole, i made sure i was drilling them a bit deeper (didn't want
to
chance bottoming out the tap) and only turn it about 3/4 of a turn once i
felt it start to bite.

after i get the hosing bolted together, i'm going to start drilling for the
motor and the bolts to hold it in place along with holes for the bushings
for the shafts for the sprockets
