Heya John, Nice choice on a tank. The StuG 3 is a neat tank and funny enough one of my more favorite tanks in World of Tanks. They look cool too. Heh.
I'm sure you have already found the web site. There is a lot of info on building tanks there. Heck, I pored over nearly every tank on the site to see how they were constructed. I came across this group and it perked my interest to build a Tank to rules for this and still have it for fun. My choice is a StuG 3 ausf G. starting to build the lower hull right now using 1/8 ply that will get glued together and then fiberglass reinforced. Once the Basic lower hull is done then I will start considered tracks with a working suspension. I plane to try and document my build, but know I will also be seeking advice from those of you who have built before me. I am considering going with intralox track design as they seem the best way to get off the ground with the limited tools I have to work with. anyone able to help me find where to purchase them?
