Pamela Treanor told us "notated movement" can apply to dance, but
also to any human movement. It could be analysing movements of
children with cerebral palsy, or sign language. Hal Cain tells us
there's notation for recording gymnastic routines.
It seems unlike we will find a single word to express this concept.
Two word phrases for media/content/carrier could make the gmds longer
than the title!
I wonder if we are not trying to do with description what could better
be done with encoding. MARC21 LDR/06 still has letters available.
Perhaps JSC could work with MARBI to use unassigned letters there to
accomplish this (some already exist), and reduce included terms to
two: one for content and one for carrier. Certainly having this in
LDR/06 would make it easier to search or do print bibliographies. An
icon could be generated for the OPAC screen.
