Folks: I'm always glad to see where people are taking seriously the admonition to work through examples, so I'd like to point out an interesting set of blog posts by Pete Johnston (not a cataloger) from the Educause Foundation. Pete is one of the developers of the Scholarly Works Application Profile <http://www.ukoln.ac.uk/repositories/digirep/index/Eprints_Application_Profile> (formerly known as the ePrints AP), so he's had some experience trying to apply FRBR in a non-library (at least, non-traditional-library) context.
