RDA 5.3 says that
Horizontal scale of cartographic content
Vertical scale of cartographic content
are core elements for cartographic expressions, when the element is
applicable and readily ascertainable.
However, I don't see a way to record these elements in expression
authority records. There's no equivalent to MARC bib. field 255 and while
there is the coded field 034 in the authority format, it doesn't have
subfields $a-$c for coded scale information that are found in the 034 bib.
field.
Shouldn't there be a way to record these core elements in the authority
format as well as the bib. format?
