Tony Ehitehurst asked: >Are any libraries converting their existing data to RDA format and how are = >they doing this?
We will be doing an automated database walk September 1st (when we implemement RDA) to change Bible, Koran, and Dept. headings. Whether we will make changes to the body of the description is not decided. See "OPtioanlly" below. So far, most of our clients want AACR2 compatible records, so we would be making the changes only to change them back again on export. Some of the changes below are not directly RDA related. Future Global Walk 28 March 2013 Change 008/23 = s to 008/23 = o, if 245$h is [electronic resource], or 337 is electronnic, and 856 is present. (040$b is language of cataloguing, and apart from CEL, French items have English cataloguing.)
