I agree that we need something to cover the Related Manifestation aspect,
but I rather like your idea of also adding the carrier attribute 'Production
method'. What made you change your mind about using this element in this
situation?

'Production method: photocopy' or 'Production method: printout' both seem
very appropriate for the kinds of reproductions we are considering
('printout' for this particular example).

3.9.1.3 provides 'photocopy' in its list, and allows the use of another
concise term or terms to indicate the production method, so maybe we could
propose adding 'printout' to that list?

I see that the PCC proposal form that Adam pointed out is only for
Relationship Designators; maybe we could persuade PCC to add another form
for 'vocabulary terms'?

Scratch that idea. Better to apply the basic RDA concept of choosing the
right kind of element-- an attribute element or a relationship element.

The use of "printout" here is as an attribute of the manifestation. Since
there is a related manifestation element at play here, it's better to use
"printout" as a relationship sub-element-- a designator in this case-- under
the Related Manifestation element. Since such a designator doesn't exist
yet, so it would have to be created.
