Dear all, There are two RDKit-related projects active in this year's Google Summer of Code you may find interesting.
Naruki Yoshikawa's project touches both OpenBabel and the RDKit and looks at improving the fragment-based conformer generation algorithm Naruki developed last year: https://www.mail-archive.com/rdkit-devel@lists.sourceforge.net/msg00352.html The mentors are Geoff Hutchinson and myself. Evegeny Sorokin's project focuses on integration of the RDKit with Neo4J: https://www.mail-archive.com/rdkit-devel@lists.sourceforge.net/msg00353.html The mentors are Christian Pilger and myself, with additional help from Stefan Armbruster from the Neo4J project.
