I just tuned in to this thread so sorry if this information has already been presented but thought all should know that Fluke has a major recall effort for 33-series clamp meters manufactured between Jan 08 and Feb 09. Apparently there is a potentially hazardous defect in the circuit board where the meter may show low or no voltage when there is actually high voltage. See the following link for serial numbers affected: http://us.fluke.com/usen/Support/Safety/33X-Recall.htm We were notified that one of our meters was on the recall and Fluke replaced it quickly and easily. In spite of this problem (even good companies make mistakes), we also like these meters - they've stood up well in places like the wilds of Africa.
