Gosh Darryl - judging from the reaction of one of my solar heros, I
realize that what I posted could be (must have been) taken the wrong way.
I am proud to be a craftsman and a wrench that has evolved into a business
owner (along with my wife) of a great operation filled with great people.

The gist of my post was concern that requiring prevailing wage on
residential work drives the cost up such that it is unaffordable and
doesn’t happen (bad for planet - bad for the workers that could have been
on the roof).

My hope is that we can pay a living wage with benefits AND hit a price
point that keeps the trucks on the road and let's Mr. Jones put solar on
his house.

I take strong objection to this post, and to the idea that that PV should
be another "roofing" industry where workers can not feed there famil;ies
form toiling all day.
