No problems here with a Xantrex DR and MacBook charging from it. Can't help you regarding Mac desktops, never tried them on mod sine.

boB, Truck Stop and China Direct Very Please And Thank You brand inverters give me the willies, since so many folks try to hard wire them in with a male AC plug off the front panel to a breaker box in remote cabins and campers and such-- because when the ground and neutral are bonded, anywhere, all bets are off on the Truck Stop variety. When they say "portable inverter" and there is no hard-wire 120VAC output buss, that means PORTABLE-- Plug things with 3-prong 120VAC plugs into the front panel of the inverter only. Otherwise you can get anything from a strong tingle from the outlet plate screw to a fire.

At least I have not seen many male-to-male 120VAC extension cords recently....that was back near Y2K.

 Greetings,

Does anyone know if newer Macintosh computers are still incompatible with Modsine inverters, and how about Mac loptops ?

   Thanks,
