Kirpal, The Sharp modules have a U-shaped rubber seal between the glass and frame. It's not visible until you or your freight company breaks the glass out of one. Since it isn't an adhesive sealant, it does allow the frame to move independently from the glass a little. I've been concerned that water will enter between the glass and frame, freeze, and bow the frames. I think silicon sealant between the glass and frame makes a more water tight seal.
