Thanks for the link. Here’s a question. Let’s assume we can’t get replacement
parts. For someone with an old 500(175HV) high voltage unit is there anyone
that has replaced the turbine itself but still used the EZ-Wire controller?
Reason I ask is the current wire run is 8ga over 900ft on an off-grid system
and the controller has worked flawlessly for over 12 years (no fires RoyJ). To
dig up the wires (in conduit sized for that GA) to run at 48Vdc would be cost
prohibited. Thus I’m looking for another high voltage unit even if it means
replacing the EZ-wire. A three bladed unit would even be better. What say you?

The Whisper line, at least the 200 and 500, went to Luminous, a large battery
manufacturer in India.
Whether or not they will be continuing support for legacy turbines remains to
be seen.

Had to share the link below with everyone on the list (I’m not a member of the
wind list so someone send there to). But even more fun is the comments at the
end of the article. Primus is just the AIR products. No Whisper parts. If
anyone finds the parts please share the source.

Folks:

I may be incorrect, but I think a company called Primus Windpower took over a
chunk of SWWP - 928-607-7034.

Good luck.
