SMA will take the inverter and e-waste it in the proper method.

Did you set up a RMA to exchange the unit?

Subject: [RE-wrenches] Is there a home for dead inverters?

Wrenches,
When an unsupported grid-tied inverter dies, is there a place for it besides
the local scrap recycler? The trigger for this question is a dead ten-year old
SMA SB1800 from one of our earliest b'less GT installations. SMA won't repair
it. Is there a good recycler? Is this the idea for a specialized home business?
Does anyone want it for the cost of shipping?
Thanks, Allan
