I would not get a megger, rather, we bought a Seaward Solar PV150 test kit.
It will perform the following tests in a few seconds and is brain-dead easy
to use.

   - Earth / ground continuity
   - Open circuit voltage
   - Short circuit current
   - Insulation resistance
   - DC operating power
   - Operational current
   - Polarity
   - Earth test lead null

It will also record the results to your computer for reference. Very handy
for annual evaluations, and a good revenue stream as you can recommend an
annual test of all the strings to identify any potential failures, and
produce a neat report. With large multi-string systems it is essential to
good maintenance
The separate irradiance meter measure temperature and will log temperatures
at set intervals so it can be left on the roof to record temperatures over
a period of time. All for what a good megger is going to cost you.
