HI Jason, I’ve wondered this myself.
I think the only way to understand it is with a really good program but you’ll also need a lot of data about energy usage and yes roof orientation etc. And from your excel file it looks like the TOUA/B have changed as they have eliminated the much lower off peak. And I think what it does do but again I’d like to see it done on a good program is that it eliminates anyone wanting to do a small system as a percentage of your load. As it puts the rates up so high, I would like it would only make sense if you can produce most via PV. I”m curious as well as to what others think? jay peltz power > On Jun 21, 2016, at 4:59 PM, Jason Andrade <ja...@westcoastsustainables.com> > wrote: > > Hi Wrenches, > > I am looking at the new rates for PG&E’s time of use and was wondering what > others in California are using Tou-A or Tou-B? it looks like if you have a > West facing array Tou-B is going to be the better choice if you can control > your usages. > http://www.pge.com/nots/rates/tariffs/ResTOUCurrent.xls > <http://www.pge.com/nots/rates/tariffs/ResTOUCurrent.xls> > Thanks for any input > > > > Jason Andrade > C-46# 974647 > (530) 410-4745 Cell > Please follow the links > below for great content! > <image009.jpg> <http://www.westcoastsustainables.com/> > <image010.jpg> <https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8CI90MX8k8IHxWUnnuBrtw> > <image011.jpg> > <https://www.facebook.com/West-Coast-Sustainables-113295778708585/> > <image012.jpg> <https://www.facebook.com/Anarchy51/?ref=settings> > > _______________________________________________ > List sponsored by Redwood Alliance > > List Address: RE-wrenches@lists.re-wrenches.org > <mailto:RE-wrenches@lists.re-wrenches.org> > > Change listserver email address & settings: > http://lists.re-wrenches.org/options.cgi/re-wrenches-re-wrenches.org > <http://lists.re-wrenches.org/options.cgi/re-wrenches-re-wrenches.org> > > List-Archive: > http://www.mail-archive.com/re-wrenches@lists.re-wrenches.org/maillist.html > <http://www.mail-archive.com/re-wrenches@lists.re-wrenches.org/maillist.html> > > List rules & etiquette: > www.re-wrenches.org/etiquette.htm <http://www.re-wrenches.org/etiquette.htm> > > Check out or update participant bios: > www.members.re-wrenches.org <http://www.members.re-wrenches.org/>
