WrenchesOur parent company does roofing and works with firestone, l do not know
of any such rule BUT its safe to have the roofer do that and everyone is
protected then why not. Remember it all about the customer and if they feel
happy then we all are happy. But thats just me.Jerry.

Subject: [RE-wrenches] Firestone Metal Roof with S-5

Has anyone run into Firestone brand metal roofing? A local roofer is trying to
tell my client that the warranty will be void if a solar contractor installs
S-5 clamps, but they have a different product and if they install it (clamps
only), it will not void the warranty. For (maybe) obvious reasons I would
rather not subcontract the clamps to the roofer. He is claiming you must be a
Firestone approved vendor to keep the warranty intact. I don’t buy it.
