You did say that the Line tie LED was on so you must have it in Sell mode;OK.
The INV/CHGR is likely in a Bulk charge mode(is the Bulk LED on?).
Once the INV/CHGR has completed the Bulk charge then it will drop down to the Float charge mode(Float LED ON).
Now that the INV/CHGHR is in the Float mode it will then begin to export(regulate the battery voltage at float level) power to the GRID.
I will typically go in and adjust the Absorb timer way down just to do a quick test;don't forget to adjust the Absorb back once test is complete.
