I have used the Hioki for data logging. It's a super awesome feature for a multi meter, and I agree with Rebekah that it's intuitive and easy, but it hardly replaces a serious data-logging power meter.
Limitations include the following: - must leave your phone (or whatever Bluetooth device) sitting next to the Hioki for the duration of recording - 24 hour max recording - only one phase/leg at a time - either current or voltage but not both at the same time (I haven't needed the 'scope function yet, but I did spend five minutes trying to get it to trigger just to see how it worked, and I couldn't figure it out. So that part might not be as easy and intuitive as the regular voltage logging function.)
