hi bruce, william miller has one he is going to send me. the most this unit ever sells is 1300 watts so the 2 kW limit isn't a problem, but because it is sealed the heat seems to kill off the internal fan in about 18 months... and it is a pain to replace.
i thought outback would sell me one but the old days when they would accommodate a strange request are long gone. thanks for the email and reminder about the control card's limits. todd On Wednesday, February 5, 2020 4:37pm, "Bruce Geddes" <bruce4po...@gmail.com> said: Hi Todd, From my recollection changing the case might help but the logic will still hold it to 2kVA unless you change the control board as well. The only reason I can think of for short fan life would be high temperatures requiring long and frequent fan run times. Maybe someone has a display case unit you could get the vented top from?
