Ive had more issues w/ propane gen sets here, then diesel, in the cold NE but, having been doing this for 30+ years, we’ve figured work arounds. We usually go w/ propane because the rest of the clients infrastructure is set up for propane. AND I don’t stink of diesel when the client hasn’t change the fuel filters or oil. Carb heaters, indoor enclosures w/ thermostatically controlled louvers, + 0 weight oil. We always used the MQs or the Wackers in Humboldt, Ca. Bullet proof as long as one is aware of the alternator to engine crank bearing life span. > On Jan 18, 2022, at 1:51 PM, Michael Morningstar <mjmornings...@gmail.com > <mailto:mjmornings...@gmail.com>> wrote: > > I’ve installed Hundreds upon hundreds of diesel generators at elevation here > in the mountains of NorCal.
