Really Happy with the Milwaukee M18 volt series. Various sized batteries available, & there have to be 150+ tools in the M18 series. I got into the Milwaukee 28 volt originally & what a nightmare; too heavy, replacement batteries were $$$ & life span on the battery was not good.
I have been told the Milwaukee power tools have steel gears not plastic. The impacts are bomber solid. So far cold weather operation is good, no noticeable deficiencies. & I have charged them very cold so the battery charger BM is fairly smart/sensitive. I have noticed if really cold the charger says "broken Battery" I Loved the small cooler & reptile heater idea! Great idea! Dana Orzel Great Solar Works, Inc. My 10 year old+ Makita tool set isn't nearly as powerful as some newer tools. Even with new batteries, the tools have sufficient power in cold weather. What is the best brand for cold weather operation?
