Its actually the alumium flange that is typically tapped into the microinverter plastic housing that I'm after (the part that is attached to the rail during installation). In this case, the micros were in held a plastic bracket that was glued onto the module backsheet and so the standard mounting flange wasn't part of the set up. This is certainly a disadvantage of an AC module...
