If so then i think an Iron Ridge top cap could be turned upside down.  you can fasten the Ubolts around the purlins
maybe overkill   and also maybe hard to waterproof, if waterproof is something they need

I have mounted racking to a lot of different steel structures, but never one with steel pipe purlins.  I would normally use the EJOTs with thread forming shanks, but I don’t know how well they will work in steel pipe.

 

Has anyone else ever faced this situation?
