Hi Jason, It looks like all the black casings are 12 or 24 Volt.
White 3.8kW @ 48V nom. are either AmpliPhi (with comms.) or SimpliPhi without. They can't be mixed. Not sure of the maximum number, but UL 9540 listing up to 3 x BOSS.12 with 12 batteries each.
