Does the system have Solar Assistant and will that have the granularity to spot an actual voltage drop?

The Victron SmartShunt is a good tool to add to the system, it will capture voltage and current and you can reward the data with a Bluetooth phone or tablet.

Thank you,

Maverick

This particular system is open loop at this time (which we set to try to diagnose the battery random shutdown issue) but the same thing was happening in closed loop (Pytes E-Box).

Am off-grid firmware is exactly what we need here. Customers "upgrading" from old Trace SW inverters or others are actually getting a downgrade in terms of autonomy. These new systems need babysitting.

MNP  has a plan for a “off grid”  firmware specification, that will mirror the old UL1741  that was found in the old SW inverters. This will be under the Grid Tab, and will remove all the ESS requirements.  MNP does not have firm timeline for this, but it is on the near term list.

I can’t agree more that auto restart is a requirement.
A well designed system that has the inverter shut off( shut down or not sure what the correct term is) due to low battery should restart in the morning.

Now I could easily see that it will have to get to some X amount of SOC or volts or watts of input before it connects the AC loads.

Mr. Bryce,

As offgrid is our biggest piece of the pie, I too would like to have the AIO power back up when voltage is at an acceptable level just as our OB's, Magnum's and Xantrex's have been for years. My hope is that in the very near future a firmware upgrade would make this a selectable feature.

Much appreciated,
Christopher

Is this closed loop or open loop?  If closed loop the "rules" require the machine to stay shutdown until the "issue" is identified.

That's my understanding as well. Sure would be cool if there was an automatic reconnect mode that could be set.

With this new breed of AIO inverters, when the battery reaches low voltage disconnect, do they all need manual intervention to restart inverting?

I'm having an issue with a Midnite AIO with a stack of Pytes batteries that reset themselves for a yet undiagnosed reason. The DC Battery voltage goes to zero on the inverter for a moment, and then returns. The problem is, it requires manual intervention to push the button to turn the inverter back on. It does not happen automatically. That's not good for an unmanned remote site.
