Hello Ray. Zonna now has a few of the RE versions in stock. I was thinking one could get fancy to cover the AC and DC cables by mounting the inverter on an E-panel in the approved orientation with a significantly modified 4x4x12 wireway but then it probably wouldn't have enough ventilation through the wireway to reach the LR's ventilation slots. Seems like for now either Kent's suggestion is best or perhaps of course wait for a specific Midnite solution (still unclear what that is of course). Maybe Logan can clarify if the sheet metal he was speaking about is for the inverter chassis or an E-panel specifically built for the Little Rosie?
A retrofit option would be best for me but perhaps they don't see much market demand for it.
Jay, did you find an actual E-panel for the LR in their documents somewhere?

Maybe I'm missing something, but I just skimmed through the
manual, and it appears the Little RosieM is meant for mobile
applications. It mentions an RE version for off grid, but I can't
find that anywhere. The manual just discusses class T fuses,
makes no mention of breakers. It looks like a cool inverter with
a form factor similar to an old Trace DR, but not really seeing
the usual matching Midnite BOS components we've come to expect.
My guess is they're working on all of that for the RE version,
which isn't quite ready.
In the meantime, one of their E panel lites could be used. You'd
have some exposed DC cable though, which seems to be the "IN"
thing these days with many of the latest LiPO4 batteries.......:)
Apparently, one man's code compliance is another man's unnecessary
hangup........Also don't wire the neutral through the switched
neutral relay in the inverter.
Personally, I'd just wait for the RE version and the accompanying
BOS to come out. Maybe a Victron in the meantime? Used Magnum on
Flea Bay? The pickin's are slim for us poor off grid installers
these days....

Is the breaker box you mention anywhere on MidNite’s website ?

The Little Rosie has a nice breaker box with
plenty of room and options. But, the sheet metal is
running behind from the US based manufacturer.
Hopefully it will be available soon.

Great, thank you Kent. I didn't realize
the AC and DC terminals needed to be on top, I should
have read the manual before asking. I can now see how
the access door would be blocked if there were also a
charge controller mounted on the door. I thought the
Plus models were wider than the Lite but it appears my
assumption was wrong. Seems it could still work if the
controller were mounted off on the side of the chassis
but for now I'll try to come up with a better plan.
Lots of mice around here so I can see how your point
of dropping "things" into the top ventilation slots
could really be an issue.
Assuming your generator is large enough are you
finding that the 60 amp DC charger is working on a
similar ratio as the VFX's 45 amp charger?
I appreciate your feedback!

Nick,
I recently looked into installing a Little Rosie on
the door of an
E-panel lite and decided against it. Just not enough
room to get the
battery cables connected. I ended up with the Little
Rosie mounted
vertically beside an E-panel lite. To tell you the
truth I wasn't happy
with the vertical installation of the little Rosie.
Per the installation
manual you are only allowed to mount it vertically
in one orientation
and that leaves the top of the Little Rosie at risk
of dropping things
into it through the ventilation slots.
