I think the equipment is just quirky. Our Radian system at home was
doing a similar thing for a while. For some reason, with no parameter
changes, it started working right most of the time.

The inverter has been charging to only 52 VDC at no more than 700 watts
since new. I had blamed the 3kW portable generator. We installed a new
Kohler 12 kW Gen and the problem continued.
I had tried all the suggestions to change re-bulk and re-float and even
reset to factory defaults. Nothing helped.
The OB tech suggested setting the Gen input to Backup and.... problem
solved.
I don't know why but I won't argue with success.
Curiously I have another almost identical system that charges just fine
on Generator setting.
If anyone can explain this I'd really like to know.
