Very soon I plan to try my hand at implementing the sweet-expression BNF in Scheme.
Basically, I'll modify the existing kernel so that it checks for an environment flag; it'll then run the "new" or "old" implementation. That'll make it easier to compare the two, and eventually we can remove the old. I expect the implementation effort to be pretty quick... well, unless something unexpected happens. But I think that's the point; if there's a real problem implementing it in Scheme, we want to know and fix it. --- David A.
