The team consists of infrastructure engineers with specialization in other infrastructure domains. The position is responsible for research, planning, architecture, design and Level III support of a complex data network. A number of projects will be addressed by this position. These projects will center on WAN and LAN redesign, and other solution-centric projects. The ideal candidate will work on complex technical problems and provide solutions that are highly innovative, cost effective, and operationally sound. This position will lead cross-discipline infrastructure projects while exercising sound judgment. Qualifications: 10+ years IT Experience in a large multi-national corporation with 20+ WAN sites. Candidate must demonstrate mastery of layer 3 routing that includes BGP and OSPF protocols. In-depth knowledge of IPv4 and IPv6. Experience with external IP registrars, nationally and internationally. IP addressing design experience in both the Public and Private addressing space. IPv6knowledge will be a definite plus. Solid knowledge of how carrier networks work and provide services to customers. Router configuration design and protocol design. In-depth knowledge of VoIP connectivity over network infrastructure. In-depth knowledge of the various QoS methodologies. In-depth knowledge of WAN acceleration devices that optimize end user and data center to data center application flows. (application acceleration). Broad understanding of IT infrastructure platforms (cross work stream, e.g. Compute, Storage, Virtualization, LAN, VoIP, NGFW, VPN, IDS/IPS, Load Balancers, etc.). NGFW design and implementation experience. IDS/IPS design experience. VPN, client and clientless, S2S. Academic knowledge and practical implementation of SDN fundamentals. Technologies: Cisco, Arista, F5 LTM and GTM, Riverbed Steelhead and Granite, Palo Alto. Nice to Haves IPv6.Academic knowledge and practical experience. Interest in working on other infrastructure domains: Compute, Storage, Virtualization, Database.
