Teradata DBA Consultant Tampa, Florida. 6+ Months Contract *9+ Years With Photo ID Proof* JD: Below Acted as a liaison between the offshore and onsite teams. Should have excellent experience playing Teradata DBA role for leading customers. Overall experience is around 10 years with at least 3 years playing a pure DBA role. Experience and job profile includes: Performance tuning, including collecting statistics, analyzing explains & determining which tables needed statistics. Multiload, BTEQ, create & modify databases, capacity planning, space allocation, rights management for all objects within databases Database porting and movement Patches and upgrades Automating data warehousing and datamart refreshes using Transportable table space option Create and managing partitions Database health checks and tuning databases using Teradata Manager Installing Teradata drivers for utilities Refresh data by using fastexport and fastload utilities Using Teradata Administrator and Teradata Manager Tools for monitoring and control the system Creating and modifying MULTI LOADS for Informatica using UNIX and Loading data into DW Loading data from various data sources and legacy systems into Teradata production and development warehouse using BTEQ, FASTEXPORT, MULTI LOAD, FASTLOAD and Informatica With the in-depth expertise in the Teradata cost based query optimizer, identified potential bottlenecks with queries from the aspects of query writing, skewed redistributions, join order, optimizer statistics, physical design considerations (PI and USI and NUSI and JI etc) etc. In-depth knowledge of Teradata Explain and Visual Explain to analyze and improve query performance. Work with customer to identify needs and ensure they are satisfied and close it with customer. Data and table-level security, setting up access rights and space rights for Teradata environment. Performance tuning, Monitoring and reporting Review system utilization by user. Liase between other Infosys team members onsite and offshore to ensure smooth execution. Keep leads informed about the status, progress and work done regularly.
