Andrea:
Isn't this amazing? This thread has grown a bunch since I started
it. I'm relieved to know it's not just me. I wonder where all the
RB guys are now. They're out here and I know they've received every
post to the thread. I didn't find very many complaints about RB2005
or RB2006...that surprised me. I started the thread to find out if
it was just me, or if people just accepted this like it is, or if
they've moved on to XCode or something else...

Well, I guess it's about time for us as a group to really let RB
know this is not acceptable, whether it is here on the list or in
Feedback or wherever. I've used RB for years and have seen it
grow and get slower, but NOT even close to this. Add no code and
the project GROWS? At that rate, my project will be 100MEG in
nothing flat, as it is growing 100k every time I save it. And the
file size grew 9MB in just a few days. So we're left with 5.5
that they obsoleted?
Mike, I totally agree with you: For me, with a 32MB project file in
2005R4, debug and compile times are a pain, even on the new dual G5
with 1.5GB of RAM.
I think that someone from Real should reply and at least
acknowledge the problem. When customers have a non-troll complain
like this, silence from the company is just frightening, IMHO.
I am amazed that people are not screaming about this...I am...and
I will continue to...after all, they got my 400 bucks...and now
they're going to make us buy updates 6 months at a time. This is
rediculous.
I am amazed my report about compile speed on RB2005 has just 3
votes.: <http://www.realsoftware.com/feedback/viewreport.php?

Apparently, either professional users are not using RB2005 or they
have to deal with much worse issues.
