Support, yes. Change the CODE of past versions, no. That's why they now have the rapid release model and maintenance period -- so we can get both bug fixes and new features quickly, for as long as we continue to renew. This is far, far more efficient than maintaining separate branches, with bug fixes hacked into an old release while at the same time trying to develop a big new release.

Imagine, me I have the version 2006 r1, when they will release RB 2006 r2 and that this problem will be to correct, I should pay 199.95.

Yes, for which you'll also get r3 and r4, possibly more, which contains not only the bug fix you need but probably others, as well as a number of new features you may well find useful. Seems like a fine deal to me.

On the other hand, I agree that it'd be better if there weren't any bugs, or if bugs were so rare that the company could afford to take a loss whenever one was found in order to give away a fix to the users. I dream of such a development environment. But I don't believe it exists. REALbasic certainly could be better than it is in terms of quality, but to expect it to be perfect is unreasonable.

Best,
- Joe
