Four years ago, I found a college student via this list, and paid him to write a plugin for my Wacom tablet, to detect pen pressure (in addition to the usual X-Y values).

It ran fine on RB 2.x, and MacOS 8 or 9.

Ah yes, RB didn't have System.PenPressure or the related pen-support methods back then.

Now I'm trying to revive the project, in OSX 10.4.3.

Great! I was disappointed to see very few apps taking advantage of the pen methods after they were added. The more, the merrier.

I put the plugin into the Plugins folder at the same level as my current RB 5.5.4.

You no longer need a plugin, at least on the Mac.

Unfortunately, there were no users interested in Windows support for pen input at the time. And I don't think anybody has ever requested it since then. So the pen support currently works only on the Mac. I recommend you confirm this yourself, then file a feature request that PenPressure, PenType, and PenButtonPushed be made to work on Windows (and Linux too if you care about that) as well. Post the feedback ID here, and I'll sign on -- I'm not doing any Windows stuff now, but I may be someday, and I'd like to be sure it properly supports Tablet PCs.

Best,
