Don't think this is a bug per-se. RB Apps on linux are Gnome apps.
Not sure Gnome has menus like that.
Could also be a theme ? A special looking menu on behalf of linux,
and some other than standard menu toolkit ? Anyway, even though you
are running in KDE, Gnome apps do run if you have the gnome
libraries, but your milage may vary on the look of them.
But unless RB does some kind of magic (read hack), the menus will
look like this in rb made apps. Try loggin into gnome and see what
happens with the menus.
Windows Vista has menus like that, and RB Apps use them correctly,
even though I havent found anyway of putting text/images in the left
area :)

Hi All,
When creating a menu in linux (Suse 9.2 running KDE)
it displays like this:

- just like a windows and mac menu, but shouldn't
the text be offset so it starts to the right of the grey
strip that goes down the left?
All other apps in Suse 9.2 running KDE seem to
have the text in the menus offset because the
grey area is where icons usually go.
Is this a bug?
Obviously I could pad the text, but what of a
MenuItem.TextSeparator? I can't pad that as it
will no longer work...
Your thoughts, as always, are very welcome. :)
All the best,
Mark.
