Thanks for the reply Jack. I suspected that it was not possible. As a work around I place a listbox over a rectangle object. Not quite right but suitable. My real issue is that a listbox border on a metal window has a slightly lighter color than the overall background shade of a metal window. It should be slightly darker. I'd put in a bug/ feature request but RS has much bigger fish to fry and I don't wish to add to the needless requests. Maybe the guys at RS will see this and get inspired;-) Huh... Ok I'm awake now...

Is there a way to set the color of a listbox border? In my mind

I don't see any documentation in the LR to do this. Is this
possible or did I miss something?

No. The listbox is a subclass of RectControl as you mention, but the
RectControl class doesn't have properties that address border
attributes such as color. Rectangle Control, of course, has these
attributes, and, like ListBox it also inherits from RectControl, but
the border attributes are in the subclass(Rectangle Control) not the
superclass (RectControl).

Hope that makes some sense...
