Thanks Seth, Joe, and Ron,
First of all I need to apologize as I forgot to mention I'm on a Mac
using 10.4.7 and RB 2005r2. This information is probably useful in
asking this type of question. I blame this on sleep deprivation - of
course that my stock excuse:-)
Seth, I wasn't looking for a way to get the volume ID from the Volume
name, but thanks. Joe, you offered bad news, as this option would
take way to long to search a volumes catalog. Ron offer a gleam of
hope, what I'm after is an Alias, AppleEvents, AppleScript, Finder,
Shell sort of way to do this. If anyone has ways to do this using one
of those methods or other slick non-RB chime in.
