Some of the controls will shrink to small if you set the size small
enough.
For example the PopupMenu will shrink if you set the TextFont to
"SmallSystem" and set the height to approximately 16 pixels. Also
for Scrollbars, instead of the default 16 pixels, you can make them
smaller by setting the value to 12 (or maybe a little less). I
don't know if any of the other controls have small equivalents.
Just keep in mind that you these "Small" controls are only valid in
OS X 10.2.x and higher.
