The order I believe we've documented as being:

Window Constructor
All Control Open Events
Window Open Event

When were ANY order of events *Documented* by RS.

This is not an order of events triggered by the operating system.

It is an order of the events in the Window and its child objects as called by the Window constructor (and will NOT be called if your Window subclass's constructor fails to call the super.Constructor). As such, I'm confident it can be relied on and has been documented for many years.

Any other event sequencing is
a) determined by the operating system
b) possibly not even predictable on a given OS (particularly if on hardware with different numbers of processors/cores)
c) possibly going to break in future.

Trying to be smart and experiment to determine the order of events is a very dangerous idea.
